Beretta Pistol Question - Cleaning/Break-down by "js1180" spastula@comcast.net (3/28/2005 8:46:14 PM)
Does anyone know how to take an old Beretta apart? (field strip)

I have an OLD Beretta pistol, I think it's a model 67?? Haven't fired it
until today. I tried to break it down to clean it but I wasn't able to
figure it out. It's a 32 cal, it has a magazine release on the bottom of the
grip. It has a slide hold/safety/break-down latch operated by the left
thumb. The latch is rotated towards the hammer for slide hold and safety,
and towards the barrel for 'fire'. I pulled it out expecting to be able to
remove the slide but it acts as though the pin was never removed.

I tried the Beretta web-site for manuals but this one is older than they
have listed.

There are no screws, or pins that I can see, or knobs/levers/etc. I had the
magazine out. Also tried it with the magazine in.

Any ideas?
